Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Bordermath application or using it in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms in their entirety, you must not use the service.

These terms constitute an agreement between you and Bordermath Systems Inc. regarding the use of our travel planning and visa compliance calculation service.

2. Description of Services

Bordermath provides the following tools and services:

• 90/180-day compliance engine: Calculation of stay days in the Schengen area and other migration zones with specific rules.
• Multi-country planning: Itinerary planning tool that takes into account visa requirements by nationality and destination.
• OCR analysis of passports and visas: Automated extraction of information from travel document images, with explicit user consent. Images are processed ephemerally and are never stored.
• Tracking of days used/remaining: Real-time dashboard of your trip compliance status.
• AI planner assistant: Conversational chat to guide planning and answer questions about travel regulations.
• Geocoding and mapping: Visual display of destinations and distance calculations.

3. Accounts and Free Trial

To access all features, you must create an account. We offer the following authentication methods:

• Passwordless email login (magic link)
• Google OAuth login

On your first use, you may benefit from a free trial allowing you to test the basic features. Full account activation may require two-step verification for security reasons.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login information and all activity on your account. You must notify us immediately in case of unauthorized use.

4. User Obligations

By using Bordermath, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information when creating your account and using the services.
• Use the service only for legal purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures or access restricted areas of the service.
• Not abuse the resources of the service.
• Independently verify critical information with the competent authorities (consulates, embassies, immigration services).

5. Document Analysis and Artificial Intelligence

Our service uses artificial intelligence technologies to analyze passport and visa images that you choose to upload. This feature is subject to the following conditions:

• Explicit consent: You must give explicit consent before each image analysis.
• Ephemeral processing: Images are transmitted once to our analysis service and are never stored on our servers. Only the extracted textual information is kept in your traveler profile.
• Limited accuracy: OCR may produce errors. You must always verify and manually correct the extracted information.
• Liability: You remain solely responsible for the information entered into the service, whether from manual entry or automatic extraction.

6. Intellectual Property

The entire Bordermath service, including but not limited to: the design, architecture, source code, databases, compliance calculation algorithms, user interfaces, texts, graphics, logos and trademarks, is the exclusive property of Bordermath Systems Inc. or its licensors.

You retain all rights to the data you enter into the service (itineraries, dates, profile information). By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to process this data only for the purpose of providing the requested service.

7. Limitation of Liability and Warranty Disclaimers

Bordermath provides the service "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not guarantee that:

• Schengen or other compliance calculations will be 100% accurate or recognized by border authorities.
• Visa regulation information will always be up to date (migration policies change frequently).
• Document OCR analysis will correctly capture all information.
• The service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bordermath Systems Inc. disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data or travel opportunities.

8. Termination and Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the application settings or by contacting us directly. Deleting your account results in:

• Deletion of your user profile and login credentials.
• Deletion of all your trips, itineraries and associated chat messages.
• Deletion of authentication sessions and associated tokens.
• Potential retention of certain data in our backups for a limited period (up to 30 days) before permanent deletion.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service in case of violation of these terms or abuse of the service.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by French law and applicable European Union law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France. In the event of a cross-border dispute within the European Union, you may also seize the courts of your country of habitual residence.

10. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Modifications will take effect upon publication on this page, with an update to the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.

For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they come into effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
